In this episode of New Fashioned Conservatives, two semi-involved Wisconsin guys begin with the sad news of the passing of longtime Wisconsin conservative Paul Farrow, reflecting on his decades of service in the state legislature and his impact on the party.

They then discuss David Crowley dropping out of the Democratic gubernatorial primary, which continues to reshape an already chaotic field. The hosts also react to Lt. Gov. Sara Rodriguez’s recent comments, in which she told voters to simply check her website instead of answer questions about the establishment’s efforts to clear a path for her. They also break down Joel Brennan’s opposition research file, which they describe as surprisingly boring and lacking much bite, but a cool gimmick. The guys highlight a rare positive story involving ICE, noting how recent enforcement actions helped save lives. They also check back in on Shadow Governor Vos’ favorite undocumented immigrant, who has reportedly returned to the United States. The episode wraps up with a discussion from the 7th Congressional District debate, where the topic of “transgender goats” surprisingly came up.
